Gladys Friday is a 4-piece soul/funk/blues/rock band based out of the Polson, MT area. We play a very diverse selection of cover tunes and original music… everything from The Grateful Dead to Grace Potter. Our most unique feature is our lead singer, Kelley Sinclair. Kelley is one of those rare vocalists who can truly do justice to an Aretha song, and grind out a Bonnie Raitt or Tina rocker and make it her own. Backed by multi-instrumentalists Dave Schwab, Doug Denton, and Doug Ruhman, Kelley (aka “Gladys”) has been receiving rave reviews from music buffs and club goers across western Montana. GF has gigged extensively in the Polson area, in Missoula, and in the Flathead, and has had numerous successful private performances, including weddings and corporate/organizational events.
In December of 2008, Weston Lewis, Joe Sheehan, Logan Stahley, and Jordan Rodenbiker played the first notes in the band that would soon be known as Cure for the Common. Blending a uniquely creative guitarist, a comically funky drummer, an expressive fretless bass rocker, and a multi-talented synth-trumpet...

Since 2008, Cure for the Common has sculpted a cohesively eclectic combination of funk, rock, and jazz that fits well into any situation. Their original music and crowd-pleasing abilities have been tested in everything from bars & clubs, to festivals, private parties, radio appearances, and more.

If a blow out celebration is what you’re after, this band makes a great fit. Weddings. Bar Mitzvahs. Any place there’s a party!

Cure for the Common has the gear and experience needed to provide high-quality entertainment for any size event. Emcee & DJ duties are an important part of the package we offer.

The band focuses on composing and performing dance-centric original music, while reserving the ability to blend in an assortment of popular cover songs. Especially when, say, the bride makes an important request from the dance floor.

No matter the occasion, Cure for the Common has the groove to keep the dance floor shaking well into the wee hours of the morning, with special guests making every event a completely unique & booty-shaking experience.

Please contact us below with any inquiries. Thank you for your time, and we look forward to working with you!
