High Voltage is a six piece rock n’ roll band from Missoula. Strong female vocals, two screaming lead guitars, wailing saxophone, thumpin’ bass and thundering drums provide a classic rock n’ roll sound, mixed with some blues makes for a high energy rock show from young, talented and dedicated musicians.

Dan Hunthausen & the Travelin’ Dogs

Dan has a musical style unlike anything you’ve come across. His music grabs you quickly and doesn’t let go… folkish, melody driven, clever, original tunes…. and plenty of old country and rock tunes. Enter Bruce Springsteen, John Mellencamp, Johnny Cash, and Tom Petty. There’s no denying his talent when he belts out his raw Americana. He’s an artist in every sense of the word.

Dan was born and raised in the foothills of the Elkhorn Mountains under the shadows of East Helena’s smelter smokestacks. He’s performed at venues from LA to Boise to just about everywhere in Montana. In 2007, one of Dan’s performances earned him the honor of Colgate Country Showdown finalist.

In August 2009, Dan released his solo cd “Travelin’ Dog”.

Handsome Jim’s playlist contains a wealth of memorable songs from a variety of popular artists. Stumblingfree began at a birthday party when three guys came together on a snowy spring night for a celebratory jam session. While playing old favorites, they shared with each other a collective dream of starting a band. Not for money or selfish purposes, but for the simple joy that comes from playing music with and for others. Soon practices began in a small one-bedroom house in southern Helena. With Eric on rhythm guitar and vocals, Travis on lead guitar and vocals, and Ali on bass, they worked on creating and learning a handful of originals and entertained possible songs to cover. After learning that Brendan played drums and was open to joining, the group became complete and sought out a name.

Because Brendan consistently missed the first few practices, the frequently interjected quote “Brendan’s breaking up the band!” almost became a valid option, but Eric had a better suggestion. He had crafted a name while reading one of his favorite authors in hopes of inspiration. Trappist monk, poet, social activist and author Thomas Merton once wrote: “We stumble and fall constantly even when we are most enlightened.” This really rang true with us when we thought about the times we have been on one of those “mountaintop experiences.” Even though we can see how amazing life is and the beauty we are a part of, we often fail to live up to our fullest potential. Conversely, even when we feel we are at the bottom, true happiness and freedom are closer than we think. Our music is aimed at connecting with the listener by expressing all aspects of the human experience, from the greatest joy to the darker moments, and the hope that is always available in those moments, even if we fall. We are continuing to work on original material and hope to have a cd out by the end of summer! Thank you for checking us out, please sign up for our e-mail list!
