It all started in February of 2009, when Dave asked Josh jokingly “Hey J, wanna start a reggae band?” Soon came Tim and Eric, who had been jammin’ ukuleles with Josh for a while. Sam was then asked to join the band as the drummer/token white dude. But alas, there was a problem. Sam felt lonely and slightly threatened being surrounded by four large minorities in a small practice room, so Loren soon joined the band as white man backup/epic bass player. Four months later, LandLocked quickly gained a reputation as the “best feel good dance music in Montana”, sharing the stage with nationally touring acts such as State Radio, Iration, and The Dirty Heads.
