In Walks Bud is a band that started in Helena, MT. We recorded our first CD in March of 2008, however, our recording setup (at the time) was quite limited. We’ve recently finished our second album – No More Mountains and it is soon to be released. We believe the easiest way to describe our music is reggae/rock.

Sam was then asked to join the band as the drummer/token white dude. But alas, there was a problem. Sam felt lonely and slightly threatened being surrounded by four large minorities in a small practice room, so Loren soon joined the band as white man backup/epic bass player. Four months later, LandLocked quickly gained a reputation as the “best feel good dance music in Montana”, sharing the stage with nationally touring acts such as State Radio, Iration, and The Dirty Heads. Their sound can best be described as island reggae smothered in rock gravy and peppered with hip hop….tangy. For a good time call 555-5555, or just come party with LandLocked.

Every Eightrack Mind show is a night of positive lyrics and organic hip-hop music that takes inspiration from jazz to reggae to funk to rock with a bit of everything in between. Their diversity has allowed them to share the stage with the Wailers, Cake, Wu-Tang, Gift of Gab, Tone-Loc, Digital Underground, Zion I, and Hieroglyphics. Michael Franti and Spearhead had ETM open for them on the Montana leg of their last tour. With a new record contract with Goontrax, and the help of Tower Records, they hope to be touring Japan soon.
