John Lowell has played in nationally recognized bands, has traveled from Europe and all around North America performing and teaching guitar at music camps and has received widespread critical acclaim for his singing, songwriting and guitar playing both with Kane’s River and Growling Old Men.

Tom Murphy moved from St. Louis to Montana in 2003 and quickly caught the attention of the finest musicians in the Northwest. You’ll find Tom at the center of any pickin’ circle around here…bringing it all together.

Jeff Shouse’s melodic picking style combined with his unwavering passion for this music and its deepest roots comes through in every song.

Russ Smith started playing guitar and singing around the open mic scene of New England in the 1980′s. After lead vocal and guitar stints in various bands, he finally found his calling with the doghouse bass.
