Take the volumous rock sound of the Drive By Truckers, throw in a little Drivin’ N Cryin’ and some Willie Nelson, and you almost have the sound of the CropDusters. We play mostly original songs with a few covers thrown in for good measure. Our favorite things: Small-town dive bars, whiskey, big landscapes, beer, dogs, whiskey, people. We love to play and have fun doing it–our view of life, too.

The CropDusters have recently finished recording our debut album, “Frontage Roads,” at Club Shmed Studios in Missoula, Montana. It will have 12 original songs, and many of them are brand new and feature a more refined, layered sound. The album is being produced by Shmed (from Arlo, the Holliston Stops and more) with engineering help from Mike TV (Get Set So, I Give Up, “Grey’s Anatomy”) and will be released in early 2009. It sounds great, and also features the addition of piano, percussion, hammond organ and many of our great Missoula friends on backup vocals. Stay tuned for more info!!
